Bar/Restaurant Chef
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of running a new Community owned business. The CornerStone of Rannoch is a bar/restaurant and flexible office space opening Spring 2025.
Working closely with the Rannoch Community Trust team, we require a Chef candidate who has experience in menu creation, with fresh food. The Chef will assist the Management team to oversee the performance of The CornerStone on a day to day basis, playing a vital role in the success of a Community owned venue.
Duties and responsibilities of The CornerStone Chef:
Team players - Working as a unit between the kitchen and front of house, as well as The CornerStone board for the Rannoch Community Trust.
Efficient - Ensure the smooth running of The CornerStone, where all aspects of the customers experience are delivered to the highest levels, ensuring food presentation and taste is to the highest standard.
Diligent - Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practise activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
Managing food stock budgets and forecast.
Liaising with suppliers or contractors.
Working with the management team to maintain a rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels for the kitchen..
Contribute to delivering quarterly KPI’s set by The CornerStone Board.
Have an attention for detail and ensure all work is carried out to the expected standard.
Maintain and manage health & safety standards, food safety and risk assessment paperwork.
Key chef role /responsibilities:
Food Preparation.
Stock Control.
Cooking Food from scratch while using fresh ingredients.
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness at all times and ensuring food hygiene procedures are being followed.
Your working hours will be 35 - 40 hrs per week. Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to work evenings and weekends.
Work Location: On-site.
Own transport required.
Candidate:
2+ years chef experience.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Must have own chef whites and knives.
Driving Licence (preferred).
Own transport required.
