A Highland bar ought to have a decent whisky shelf. Ours runs from Pitlochry's own Blair Athol and Edradour, both a short drive away, through Speyside and the Highlands to the peated malts of Islay.

Corner
Four rooms, each with its own character — from the easy buzz of the bar to a quiet corner by the stove, a bright seat under the glass, or a game of darts by the screen. Wherever you settle, you'll find the same relaxed Highland welcome, whether you're stopping by for a coffee, a post-walk pint, or settling in for the evening.
Room 01
The Bar
The bar is where the CornerStone began and still where it beats loudest. Pull up a stool at the counter or sink into a leather banquette against the old stone walls — this is the room people drift to, drink in hand, when there's catching up to do.
There's local craft beer on tap, a shelf of Scottish whisky worth working through, and a good coffee whenever you'd rather that. Quiet on a midweek afternoon, livelier as the week rolls on — somewhere that works equally well for a quick stop or a long evening. Pull up a stool and stay a while.
Room 02
The Cosy Corner
Tucked off the main floor, the Cosy Corner is the spot to settle in with a dram and let the afternoon go slowly. Deep terracotta walls and a wood-burning stove keep it warm when the weather isn't, and the Windsor chairs are made for staying put. A dog asleep by the fire is very much the idea.
It's the quieter end of the CornerStone — somewhere for a proper catch-up over a few drinks, a board game pulled off the shelf, or a coffee while the rain does its thing outside. On a dark winter evening, there's no better corner in the building.
Room 03
The Winter Garden
The Winter Garden is the bright one — all glass and green light, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a glazed roof that pulls the sky and the trees right into the room. It's the natural spot for a long, lazy afternoon over a few drinks, and a fine place to sit out a passing Highland shower with something in hand. Come summer, the doors fold back and it spills happily into the outdoors.
It's also the most adaptable room in the building — the big tables push together for larger groups, which makes it a natural home for celebrations, community get-togethers and events like Open Mic Night. If you've something of your own in mind, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Room 04
The Sports Corner
When there's a match on, this is where you'll want to be — a big screen, a pint in hand, and room for a proper crowd to get behind the game. It's the liveliest corner of the CornerStone on a fixture day, and just as good for a casual frame of darts the rest of the time.
Out of season it's an easy, sociable space that's worked well for children's parties and smaller get-togethers, with tables that can be set up to suit the occasion. Check what's on, grab a drink, and pull up a chair.
